The authors study the existence of a solution to the non-local boundary value problem for the functional differential equation \begin{gather*} (\Phi(k(t)x'(t)))'+f(t,G(x)(t))\rho(t,x'(t))=0, \\ x(a)=H_a(x),\ \ x(b)=H_b(x) \end{gather*} with the \(\Phi\)-Laplacian operator and the Carathéodory functions \(f\), \(\rho\). Under the assumption of the existence of a well-ordered pair of lower and upper functions, a quite general existence result is proved by means of fixed point arguments.
