The purpose of this interesting paper is twofold. First, the author formulates the normal and tangent maps for ``frontals'', as generalized submanifolds, or immersions with singularities, but with well-defined tangent spaces, giving some basics for differential geometric and dynamical study of frontals. Second, a new aspect to provide an inter-relation of ``normal'' and ``tangent'' is presented. In Section 2, the author defines and studies locally normal and tangent maps of ``frontals''. Moreover, he gives a result showing that the parallel of the tangent map to a frontal is right-equivalent to the tangent map of a frontal under some natural conditions (Theorem 2.2). All results formulated in Section 2 are proved in Section 3. Other author's papers directly connected to this subject are [J. Singul. 6, 54--83 (2012; Zbl 1292.57024); Lond. Math. Soc. Lect.
