\(p\)- and \(hp\)-virtual elements for the Stokes problem (Q2027779)

This article discusses the \(p\)- and \(hp\)-versions of the virtual element method for the Stokes problem on polygonal domains. The approach relies on the use of the one-to-one mapping between the Poisson-like and Stokes-like virtual element spaces for the velocities. The authors obtain an exponential rate of convergence for the \(hp\)-virtual element method and algebraic and exponential convergence rate of the \(p\)-version of the method.
