This paper deals with the abstract time-space fractional evolution equation of the following form in a real Banach space \(X\) \begin{align*} ^CD_t^{\alpha}u(t) + A^{\beta}u(t) &= F(t, u(t)), t \geq 0,\\ u(0) &= u_0 \in X, \end{align*} where \(^CD_t^{\alpha}\) is the Caputo fractional derivative of order \(\alpha\in (0, 1)\), \(A : D(A)\subset X \to X\) is a closed linear operator and \(-A\) generates a \(C_0\)-semigroup in \(X\), \(A^{\beta}\) denotes the \(\beta\)-th fractional power operator of \(A\) for \(\beta\in (0, 1]\) and \(F : \mathbb{R}^+\times X \to X\) is a continuous function. Compactness and exponential stability of the semigroup which is generated by fractional power operator \(-A^{\beta}\) are investigated. By using the properties of the semigroup and fixed point theorems, existence and global asymptotic behavior of \(S\)-asymptotically periodic solutions are obtained. An example to the time-space fractional diffusion equation with fractional Laplacian is provided.
