The concept of ``intermediate dimensions'' were recently introduced by \textit{K. J. Falconer} et al. [Math. Z. 296, No. 1--2, 813--830 (2020; Zbl 1448.28009)] as a means to interpolate between the Hausdorff and box-counting dimensions of fractals. The authors show that these intermediate dimensions may be defined in terms of capacities with respect to certain kernels and then prove that the intermediate dimensions of the projection of a set \(E\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) onto almost all \(m\)-dimensional subspaces depend only on \(m\) and \(E\), in other words, they are almost surely independent of the choice of subspace. Several applications are discussed including a surprising result that relates the box dimensions of the projections of a set to the Hausdorff dimension of the set.
