This nice paper focuses on various numerical invariants of pairs of ideals in Stanley-Reisner rings including the Cartier threshold, the \(F\)-threshold and the \(F\)-pure threshold. The main theorems give conditions for when these invariants are rational numbers. Additionally, the author defines and proves some nice results on the Cartier core of an ideal \(J\) which generalizes the notion of splitting prime defined by \textit{I. M. Aberbach} and \textit{F. Enescu} [Math. Z. 250, No. 4, 791--806 (2005; Zbl 1102.13001)] and the differential core of an ideal defined by \textit{H. Brenner} et al. [Adv. Math. 358, Article ID 106843, 89 p. (2019; Zbl 1457.14040)]. The article concludes showing that as \(e\) grows large, \(\operatorname{reg} \frac{R/J^{[p^e]}}{p^e}\) approaches an integer, where \(J\) is homogeneous ideal in a Stanley-Reisner ring and \((\operatorname{reg} M\) denotes the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of \(M\).
