Let \(\Omega\subset{\mathbb C}^n\) be a smoothly bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain, let \(T>0\), and set \(\Omega_T:=(0,T)\times\Omega\), \(\partial_0\Omega_T:=(\{0\}\times\Omega)\cup([0,T)\times\partial\Omega)\) the parabolic boundary of \(\Omega_T\). Let \(g\geq0\) be a continuous function on \(\Omega\), \(F:[0,T]\times\Omega\times\mathbb R\to\mathbb R\) be a continuous function, and denote by \(dV\) the Euclidean volume on \(\mathbb C^n\). The paper under review deals with the study the following parabolic complex Monge-Ampère flow in \(\Omega_T\): \[ (dd^c\varphi_t)^n=e^{\dot\varphi_t+F(t,z,\varphi)}g(z)\,dV(z), \] where \(\varphi_t(z)=\varphi(t,z)\) is the unknown function and \(\dot\varphi_t=\partial_t\varphi\). Let \(\mathcal P(\Omega_T)\) be the set of locally integrable upper semicontinuous functions \(\varphi\) on \(\Omega_T\) such that \(\varphi_t\) are plurisubharmonic for all \(t\). The authors introduce a suitable notion of pluripotential subsolution for the above flow, and prove that \(\varphi\in\mathcal P(\Omega_T)\) is a viscosity subsolution if and only if it is a pluripotential subsolution. Let \(h:\partial_0\Omega_T\to\mathbb R\) be a continuous function such that the slice \(h_0(z)=h(0,z)\) is plurisubharmonic in \(\Omega\). The authors also prove that, under the assumption that \(g>0\) a.e.\ on \(\Omega\), the above Monge-Ampère flow has a unique viscosity solution with boundary value \(h\), and this solution is the envelope of all pluripotential subsolutions with boundary value \(h\).
