The paper deals with the problem of regularization by noise of 3D Navier-Stokes equations with a change of perspective with respect to attempts that have been with additive noise and remained inconclusive. The authors show that a suitable multiplicative noise of transport type, depending on the gradient of the vorticity, has a regularizing effect. They prove that stochastic transport noise suppresses vorticity increase and gives long term well posedness with high probability. Their result holds for sufficiently large noise intensity and sufficiently high spectrum of the noise.
