The authors prove the existence of blowing-up and globally defined solutions of Yamabe-type partial differential equations on semi-Euclidean space and on the pseudosphere of dimension at least 3. In the proof they use isoparametric functions which allow the reduction to a generalized Emden-Fowler ordinary differential equation.
