The author considers the magnetohydrodynamic equations in two spatial dimensions in a smooth domain. Boundary conditions are nonpermeability, both for magnetic field and velocity. The flow is non-divergent. The aim is to establish global existence and uniqueness of strong solutions and their exponential decay. Initial data are assumed to be Sobolev-smooth enough.
