``Kitaev's Stabilizer Code and Chain Complex Theory of Bicommutative Hopf Algebras'' by Minkyu Kim is of great interest for researchers working in topological quantum computation (TQC) as well as researchers working in topological quantum field theory (TQFT), deepenig the links between the two research fields, providing for a generalization of Kitaev's stabilizer code working with a ``chain complex theory of bicommutative Hopf algebras'' which, as proven by the author, allows for the extension of Kitaev's stabilizer code to a ``broader class of spaces'', in this case, ``short abstract complex over a commutative unital ring R''. Now, working on a ``finite-dimensional bisemisimple bicommutative Hopf algebra with an R-action'', the author introduces (+)-stabilizers and $(-)$-stabilizers along with the elementary operator, proving that the eigenspaces of the elementary operator give an orthogonal decomposition and that the ground-state space is isomorphic to the ``homology Hopf algebra'', indeed, while the ground-state spaces of Kitaev's stabilizer code extends to Turaev-Viro TQFT the author proves that the 0-eigenspaces of a topological stabilizer model extends to a projective TQFT deepening the connection between TQC and TQFT. The article is divided into 8 sections. The introduction, which provides for a detailed overview of the work, including the main theorem. Sections 2 and 3 provide for a main mathematical ground needed for the work. Section 2 addresses the two main vector spaces associated with the (co)actions of Hopf algebras, the stabilized space and the invariant space, and the isomorphism between these two spaces. Section 3 works with category theory, introducing a chain complex theory of bicommutative Hopf algebras. Sections 4 to 6 are core sections in the work on the generalization of Kitaev's stabilizer code, section 4 addresses the notion of a short abstract complex, generalizing the polyhedral surfaces in Kitaev's approach, section 5 addresses the (+)-stabilizer, the $(-)$-stabilizer and the elementary operator and section 6 studies the eigenspaces of the elementary operator proving that the 0-eigenspace is naturally isomorphic to the homology Hopf algebra, thus, taken together sections 4 to 6 provide the article's key results, including the proof of the work's main theorem (which is provided in section 6). Section 7 addresses an application of the results to topology and TQFT, while section 8 addresses the Poincaré-Lefschetz duality of local stabilizers. The work is of major interest, not only for those working in stabilizer codes from the technological standpoint, but also for those working in the quantum computer science (QCS) from a foundational standpoint that find in this work the expansion of the connections with TQFT, in the same vein, those working in TQFT may find in this work a basis for exploring further connections between QCS and quantum fields, namely: quantum computational approaches to quantum field theories.
