The authors continue their studies devoted to the so-called strict KP hierarchy discussed in [\textit{G. F. Helminck} et al., Theor. Math. Phys. 174, No. 1, 134--153 (2013; Zbl 1352.17030); translation from Teor. Mat. Fiz. 174, No. 1, 154--176 (2013)]. This integrable hierarchy has been studied in a geometrical framework by \textit{G. F. Helminck} and \textit{E. A. Panasenko} [Theor. Math. Phys. 198, No. 1, 48--68 (2019; Zbl 1416.37062); translation from Teor. Mat. Fiz. 198, No. 1, 54--78 (2019)], where it has been shown how its solutions can be constructed starting from a \(\mathcal{F}(1)\) flag variety. In this paper, the authors address the problem of finding Darboux transformations for the strict KP-hierarchy and to understand how they act in connecting points on \(\mathcal{F}(1)\). They determine the operators realising the sought Darboux transformations and characterise the geometry of the the variety describing the solutions of class \(\mathcal{F}(1)\) of the hierarchy that are related by such transformations. After doing so, they also discuss which of the Darboux transformations for the strict KP hierarchy works also for the strict \(n\)-KdV hierarchy introduced in [\textit{G. F. Helminck} and \textit{E. A. Panasenko}, Theor. Math. Phys. 205, No. 2, 1411--1425 (2020; Zbl 1456.37073); translation from Teor. Mat. Fiz. 205, No. 2, 190--207 (2020)].
