The 3D compressible Navier-Stokes equations without heat conductivity is considered in the paper. The velocity of a gas \(u(x,t)=(u_1,u_2,u_3)\), the pressure \(p(x,t)\) and the entropy \(s(x,t)\) satisfy to the equations. \[ \begin{array}{l} \frac{\partial p}{\partial t}+\frac{1+c_\nu}{c_\nu}p\nabla\cdot u+u\cdot\nabla p=\frac{1}{c_\nu}\Psi(u),\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^3,\ t>0, \vphantom{\begin{array}{c}I\\ I\end{array}}\\ \frac{\partial u}{\partial t}+(u\cdot \nabla)u-\frac{\mu}{\rho}\Delta u-\frac{\mu+\tilde{\mu}}{\rho}\nabla(\nabla\cdot u)+\frac{1}{\rho}\nabla p=0,\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^3,\ t>0, \vphantom{\begin{array}{c}I\\ I\end{array}}\\ \frac{\partial s}{\partial t}+(u\cdot\nabla)s=\frac{1}{p}\Psi(u),\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^3,\ t>0, \vphantom{\begin{array}{c}I\\ I\end{array}}\\ (u,p,s)(x,0)=(u_0,p_0,s_0)(x)\rightarrow(0,p_\infty,s_\infty),\ |x|\rightarrow\infty. \end{array} \] Here \(c_\nu\) is the specific heat, \(\rho(x,t)\) is the density, \(\mu\) and \(\tilde{\mu}\) are viscosity constants, satisfying \(\mu>0\) and \(2\mu+3\tilde{\mu}\geq0\), \(\Psi(u)\) is the classical dissipation function: \[ \Psi(u)=\frac{\mu}{2}\Big|\nabla u+(\nabla u)^T\Big|^2+\tilde{\mu}|\nabla\cdot u|^2. \] The functions \(\rho\), \(p\) and \(s\) are connected by the relation \[ \rho=ap^{\frac{c_\nu}{1+c_\nu}}\mbox{exp}\Big(-\frac{s}{1+c_\nu}\Big),\quad a=\mbox{const}. \] The authors prove that if \(\Vert u_0,p_0-p_\infty,s_0-s_\infty\Vert_{H^2}\) is small then the problem admits a unique solution globally in time. The time decay rate of this solution is obtained too.
