In this article, the authors consider the following third-order differential equation: \[ iy'''+q(x)y=i\lambda y, \] and the following equation of fifth order, both are given on the interval \([x_0;+\infty)\): \[ l(y)=\frac{i}{2}\{(p(x)y''')''+(p(x)y'')'''\}+q(x)y=i\lambda y, \] where \(q(x)=q_3'''(x)\) and \(q_3(x) \in L_{\mathrm{loc}}^1[x_0;+\infty),\) \(p\) is a locally absolutely continuous positive function. The main aim of the article is constructing the asymptotics of solutions of equations by passing from the original equation to equations in quasi-derivatives, and then to an equivalent system of first-order differential equations by using the Hausdorff transformation several times. Examples of this constructing of asymptotics are given for such third- and fifth-order equations. In my opinion, the results presented in the article are very important and actual.
