The study of harmonic functions on trees taking values on a separable Fréchet space \(E\) over the field \(\mathbb{C}\) or \(\mathbb{R}\) and famous properties, such as universality, frequent universality and algebraic genericity, has been a recent topic of interest in analysis. In the paper under review, the authors allow the functions to take values in a separable metrizable topological vector space \(E\) over a rather general field \(\mathbb{F}\), where the metric of \(E\) is translation invariant. In this setting, they study universality, frequent universality and algebraic genericity of general functions defined by linear combinations with coefficients in \(\mathbb{F}\). Since the authors do not assume that \(E\) is complete, they present an argument avoiding Baire's theorem.
