In the paper under review the author studies sets defining few ordinary solids. Suppose that \(\mathcal{P}\) is a set of \(n\) points in the real four dimensional space containing no four coplanar points and spanning the whole space. We say that a hyperplane is an ordinary solid if it is incident with exactly four points of \(\mathcal{P}\). In the paper under review the author shows that if \(\mathcal{P}\) spans at most \(K\cdot n^{3}\) ordinary solids, where \(K = \mathcal{O}(n^{1/7})\) and \(n\) is sufficiently large, then all but at most \(\mathcal{O}(K)\) points of \(\mathcal{P}\) are contained in the intersection of five linearly independent quadrics. Moreover, the author provides examples of sets of \(n\) points in four dimensional real space which span less than \(n^{3}/6\) ordinary solids, i.e., it implies that there are examples attaining the bound for \(K = \frac{1}{6}\).
