To distinguish between incoming and outgoing parts of solutions modelling scattered waves is one of the main concerns arising in theoretical and numerical scattering theory. Recently, \textit{D. Gajic} and \textit{C. Warnick} [J. Math. Phys. 61, No. 10, 102501, 30 p. (2020; Zbl 1455.83015)] proposed a new alternative for distinguishing such solutions. They defined scattering resonances based on Gevrey-2 regularity at infinity and introduced a new class of potentials for which resonances can be defined. In the present paper, J. Galkowski and M. Zworski show that the potentials considered by Gajic and Warnick can be decomposed into a sum of a potential analytic in a large sector and an exponentially decaying potential. By applying essentially well-know results based on complex scaling they get a meromorphic continuation to strips in \(\mathbb C \backslash i (- \infty, 0]\). Thus a larger class of potentials can be considered and a definition of resonances in wider angles is provided.
