In this nice paper on topological dynamics, the main result reads as follows: Theorem. Let \(X\) be a compact Hausdorff space equipped with a continuous action of an amenable group \(G\). Suppose that \((X,G)\) is expansive and has the weak specification property. Then, \((X,G)\) has the Myhill property. In particular, \((X,G)\) is surjunctive. It is worth mentioning that the above result extends a previous theorem of \textit {H. Li} [Ergodic Theory Dyn. Syst. 39, No. 11, 3075--3088 (2019; Zbl 1421.37005)], where \(X\) was taken as a compact metrizable space and \(G\) as a countable amenable group. The authors notice that in their theorem the weak specification condition cannot be dropped, nor the expansiveness assumption, nor the amenability condition, providing for that end some appropriate counterexamples. The proof of the above theorem is divided in two parts and mainly based on the notion of topological entropy and its role in the setting of a topological dynamical system \((X,G)\) with \(G\) amenable.
