The author introduces the evolution coalgebras of a bisexual population (ECBP for short) by providing a coalgebra structure to the evolution algebras of a bisexual population defined by \textit{M. Ladra} and \textit{U. A. Rozikov} [J. Algebra 378, 153--172 (2013; Zbl 1293.17041)]. She gives a matrix realization of ECBPs by cubic matrices, studies the properties and algebraic structures of ECBPs, the trigraphs attached to these algebras and proposes a bivariate Markov chain model to study the dynamics of ECBPs.
