Fix a sphere \(S^d\) in \(\mathbb R^{d+1}\), and select \(n>d\) great hyperspheres at random (the distribution is assumed nondegenerate, but not necessarily uniform). Every \(d\) hyperspheres intersect, and with probability 1 no \(d+1\) do so. Having randomly constructed the spherical polytope, a random \(k\)-face may be chosen in one of two ways: a \textit{typical} face is chosen with equal probability, a \textit{weighted typical} \(k\)-face is weighted by its \(k\)-measure. The authors derive a number of strong and interesting results about the expected properties of the resulting random \(k\)-faces of both types. These include expected number of \(\ell\)-faces for \(\ell<k\), expected spherical Quermaßintegral, expected spherical intrinsic volume, statistical dimension, and probability of intersection (where of course two independent sets of hyperspheres are used!). In some cases Euclidean results are given as limiting cases.
