\textit{J. Voigt} [Semigroup Forum 38, No. 2, 263--266 (1989; Zbl 0686.47040)] established the following result on resolvent positive operators and positive \(C_0\)-semigroups on AL-spaces. Let \(E\) be an AL-space (abstract Lebesgue space), and let \((A, D(A))\) be the generator of a positive \(C_0\)-semigroup on \(E\). Let \(B : D(A) \to E\) be a positive operator, and assume that \(A + B\) is resolvent positive. Then \((A + B, D(A))\) is the generator of a positive \(C_0\)-semigroup. The author extends this result to include positive perturbations of generators of bi-continuous semigroups in the style of Voigt's work. The demonstration uses the Miyadera-Voigt perturbation theorem for bi-continuous semigroups proved by \textit{B. Farkas} [Stud. Math. 161, No. 2, 147--161 (2004; Zbl 1069.47046)]. This paper starts with a brief review of the literature of the notion on bi-continuous semigroup of operators. The proof is completed using several lemmas to make the result much easier to follow.
