This paper deals with the dynamics of the Hénon family, a family of complex quadratic maps in \(\mathbb{C}^2\) depending on two parameters. More precisely, the authors consider a kind of semi-Siegel complex Hénon maps with semi-neutral fixed point: the semi-Siegel dissipative Hénon maps. They prove that semi-Siegel Hénon maps with golden-mean rotation numbers are structurally unstable in a very strong sense. The main result has two interesting consequences. First, the Newhouse phenomenon occurs for a dense set of parameters in the semi-Siegel Hénon family. Second, for a dense set of parameters values, the golden-mean semi-Siegel Julia set is disconnected.
