    S. Reif and R. Venkatesh consider integrable category \(\mathcal{O}\) representations of Borcherds-Kac-Moody algebras whose Cartan matrix is finite-dimensional. They determine the necessary and sufficient conditions for which the tensor product of irreducible representations from this category is isomorphic to another (Theorem 4.2.1, page 419): let \(\mathfrak{g}\) be an indecomposable Borcherds-Kac-Moody algebra, \(\mathcal{O}^{\text{int}}\) be the category whose objects are integrable \(\mathfrak{g}\)-modules in category \(\mathcal{O}\), and \(V_i\) and \(W_j\) be special irreducible \(\mathfrak{g}\)-modules in category \(\mathcal{O}^{\text{int}}\) such that \(V_1 \otimes \cdots \otimes V_r \cong W_1 \otimes \cdots \otimes W_s\), where \(1\leq i\leq r\) and \(1\leq j\leq s\), \(r, s\in\mathbb{N}\). Then \(r=s\) and there exists a permutation \(\sigma\) on \(\{1, \ldots, r\}\) and one-dimensional \(\mathfrak{g}\)-modules \(Z_i\), \(1\leq i\leq r\), such that \(V_i=W_{\sigma(i)}\otimes Z_i\). This generalizes a fundamental result on unique factorization of tensor products of finite-dimensional irreducible representations of finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras over complex numbers.
