\textit{M. Kaneko} and \textit{D. Zagier} [``Finite multiple zeta values'', Preprint] defined the set of finite multiple zeta values as elements in the ring \[ \mathcal{A}=(\Pi_p\mathbb{F}_p)/(\oplus_p\mathbb{F}_p). \] They also defined the set of symmetric multiple zeta values as elements in \(\mathbb{R}\). The Kaneko-Zagier conjecture says that there is a one-to-one correspondence between them. In [Compos. Math. 154, No. 12, 2701--2721 (2018; Zbl 1429.11161)], the authors found a new approach to study the Kaneko-Zagier conjecture. They started from the \(q\)-analogue of multiple zeta values. The finite multiple zeta values can be interpreted as an algebraic substitution \(q\rightarrow 1\) for the \(q\)-multiple zeta values. While the symmetric multiple zeta values are the real counterpart of \(q\)-multiple zeta values by certain analytic limit \(q\rightarrow 1\). In this paper, the authors defined the finite Mordell-Tornheim multiple zeta values and the symmetric Mordell-Tornheim multiple zeta values. By using certain \(q\)-analogue of Mordell-Tornheim multiple zeta values. The authors investigated the relation between the finite Mordell-Tornheim multiple zeta values and the symmetric Mordell-Tornheim multiple zeta values.
