Recurrence relations for heat kernels on spheres (Q2059946)

In this paper the authors obtain recurrence relations of the heat kernels on spheres, analogue of recurrence relations for heat kernels on hyperbolic spaces by \textit{E. B. Davies} and \textit{N. Mandouvalos} [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc. (3) 57, No. 1, 182--208 (1988; Zbl 0643.30035)]. The method is elementary. They also show some applications of the recurrence relations for heat kernels.
