The aim here is to investigate the Anderson transitions by using a procedure based on the quantum kicked rotor (QKR) model and convolutional neural networks (CNN). One considers the following model for QKR with incommensurate modulation of the kick: $$H(t) =\frac {p^2}{2}+K\cos x \sum_{n}\delta(t-n)F(t).$$ There are two ways in which the system is analyzed. The Hamiltonian is mapped to static higher-dimensional tight binding models first. Then, the eigenfunctions are studied by means of convolution neural networks. The second way involves the study of the time series of the original time-dependent one-dimensional system by using bidirectional long short-term memory network. Simulation results are shown and discussed in the second section of the article. The authors state that, for the investigation on Anderson transitions in higher dimensions, ``the second approach works especially well''.
