Let \(f \in L^{1}[-\pi, \pi]\) be a \(2\pi-\)periodic function and let \(\lambda = \{\lambda_n\}\) be a monotone non-decreasing sequence of integers such that \(\lambda_1 = 1\) and \(\lambda_{n+1} - \lambda_n \leq 1\). The means \[ V_n(\lambda,f;x) = \frac{1}{\lambda_n} \sum_{m=n-\lambda_n}^{n-1} S_{m}(f;x), \,\,\,\,\, (n \geq 1), \] are called the generalized de la Vallée Poussin mean of the sequence \(\{S_{m}(f;x)\}\), where \(S_{m}(f;x)\) are the Fourier partial sums of order \(m\) for the function \(f\). Let \(p_1\) and \(p_2\) be two positive integers, and \(n \in \mathbb{N}\) such that \(p_1 + p_2 < n\). The repeated de la Vallée Poussin sums of \(S_{m}(f:x)\) are defined by \[ (1) \hspace{1cm} V_{n}^{p_1, p_2}(f; x) = \frac{1}{p_1 p_2} \sum_{k=n-p_1}^{n-1} \sum_{m=k-p_2 + 1}^{k} S_{m}(f;x). \] If \(p_1 = 1\) or \(p_2=1\), the sums \(V_{n}^{1, p_2}(f; x)\) and \(V_{n}^{p_1, 1}(f; x)\) are the ordinary de la Vallée Poussin means. \textit{L. Leindler} proved in [Acta Sci. Math. 29, 147--162 (1968; Zbl 0157.38501)] four theorems related to the ordinary \((V_n, \lambda)-\)summability: the first theorem states a bound for \(|V_n(\lambda,f;x)|\), in the second he proves that \(V_n(\lambda,f;x) \to f(x)\) assuming certain conditions on \(\lambda\) and \(f\), the third and fourth theorem talk about the deviation \(|V_n(\lambda,f;x) - f(x)|\) for \(f\) continuous and \(f\) belonging to ordinary Lipschitz class, respectively. In this article, the author obtains four theorems analogous to those of L. Leindler, mentioned above, for the means given in (1).
