In the paper \(L^p\) maximal estimate of Weyl sums is considered. Let \(e(t) = e^{2\pi it}\), \[M_p(N)=\int_0^1 \max\limits_{0\le t\le1}\Big|\sum_{n=1}^N e(nx+n^2t)\Big|^p\,dx\] and constants implied by `\(\ll\)' depend at most on \(p\). In the present paper the result of \textit{A. Barron} [An \(L^4\) maximal estimate for quadratic Weyl sums, \url{arxiv:2011.09885}, Int. Math. Res. Not. IMRN 2022, No. 22, 17305--17332 (2022)] is sharpened and the order of magnitude of \(M_p(N)\) for \(p\ge1\) is determined. The main result is: We have \[N^{a(p)}(\log N)^{b(p)}\ll M_p(N)\ll N^{a(p)}(\log N)^{b(p)}, \] where \[a(p)=\begin{cases} \frac{3p}4& 1\le p\le 4\\ p-1& p>4\end{cases},\quad b(p)=\begin{cases} 1& p=4\\ 0& p\ge1, p\ne 4\end{cases}.\]
