The author studies various ways to decompose matrix flows and single matrices via one constant matrix similarity transform. He proposes an algorithm which works efficiently for all time-varying matrix flows. Furthermore, the author discovers and studies \(k\)-normal fixed entry matrix classes that can be decomposed under unitary similarity transforms into various \(k\)-dimensional block-diagonal forms.
