The reviewed article studies the focusing cubic Schrödinger equations in dimension 3 outside a strictly convex obstacle rather than the whole space. \[iu_{t}+\Delta u=-|u|^{2}u, (t,x)\in {\mathbb{R}^{3}}\times \Omega \] where \(\Omega={\mathbb{R}}^{3}/\Theta\), and \(\Theta\) is strict convex obstacle. It has been posed a Dirichlet boundary condition \(u=0\) on \(\partial_{\Omega}\). There is natural threshold regarding the scattering/blow up dynamic for cubic NLS on whole space \({\mathbb{R}}^{3}\), given by the mass and energy of the ground state \(Q\). Here \(Q\) is the ground state, which solves \[ -Q+\Delta Q+|Q|^{2}Q=0. \] And \(Q\) is radial, positive, smooth and decays fast. Note that \(Q(x)e^{it}\) solves the cubic NLS. It has been proved in [\textit{T. Duyckaerts} et al., Math. Res. Lett. 15, No. 5--6, 1233--1250 (2008; Zbl 1171.35472); \textit{J. Holmer} and \textit{S. Roudenko}, Commun. Math. Phys. 282, No. 2, 435--467 (2008; Zbl 1155.35094)] that for cubic NLS on the whole space in 3d, for all solutions below ground state, (characterized by its mass and energy), and with a sub-critical assumptions, one can obtain global existence and scattering. Results of such type are motivated by the seminal work of \textit{C. E. Kenig} and \textit{F. Merle} [Invent. Math. 166, No. 3, 645--675 (2006; Zbl 1115.35125)] on energy-critical NLS. The current article proves a parallel result for cubic NLS outside a convex obstacle. It should be noted, one does not need to consider for a new ground state outside convex obstacle. The threshold hold is still given by the ground for cubic NLS on \(\mathbb{R}^{3}\). Indeed, no such ``ground state'' outside convex obstacle exists in the threshold case. This leads to their main result of the current article. To be more precise, it is known and (also expected) that at the threshold, (i.e. when the solution satisfies some same energy mass conditions as the ground state), the dynamic is more rich for cubic NLS, [\textit{T. Duyckaerts} and \textit{S. Roudenko}, Rev. Mat. Iberoam. 26, No. 1, 1--56 (2010; Zbl 1195.35276)]. See also [\textit{T. Duyckaerts} and \textit{F. Merle}, Geom. Funct. Anal. 18, No. 6, 1787--1840 (2009; Zbl 1232.35150)] for energy critical NLS. But, since no such ``ground state'' outside convex obstacle exists in the threshold case, the author proves even at the threshold, the solution \textbf{still} scatters.
