The authors of this article consider phaseless inverse scattering problems. In applications, one usually measures phaseless data instead of phased data since they are easier to obtain. In this article, the single source localization algorithm is modified that reconstructs the phase information from noisy measurements of phaseless far-field data. Specifically, different norm formulations are used within the source localization method. More precisely, they propose an improved phase retrieval algorithm originally developed by Ji, Liu, and Zhang. Further, they invoke a simple criterion within their method to minimize the condition number of the resulting linear least square system. Numerical results are given to show the effectiveness of the new algorithm compared to existing ones.
