In the paper under revision several compactifications are constructed and compared for the moduli space \(\mathbf M\) of those Enriques surfaces which are \(\mathbb Z_2^2\) cover of the blow-up of \(\mathbb P^2\) at three points branched along three pairs of lines \((\ell_i, \ell_i^{'})_{i=1,2,3}\). First, a geometric compactification \(\overline{\mathbf M}\) is constructed via the theory of Kollár-Shepherd-Barron-Alexeev. The core of the paper is the description of this compactification. This is achieved by relating the degenerations of the pairs \((\mathrm{Bl}_3 \mathbb P^2, \frac{1+\epsilon}{2} (\sum_1^3(\ell_i+\ell_i^{'})))\) to those of the pairs \(((\mathbb P^1)^3, B)\) where \(B\) is a divisor of class (1,1,1). This allows the author to employ the theory of stable toric pairs and relate \(\overline{\mathbf M}\) to the their coarse moduli space. Finally, compactifications coming from Hodge theory are considered: It is shown that the period map extends to a regular morphism \(\overline{\mathbf M}\to D/\Gamma^*\) to the relevant Baily-Borel compactification \(D/\Gamma^*\). Moreover, a Looijenga semitoric compactification \((D/\Gamma)_{\Sigma}\) is defined considering a fundamental domain for the action of the group generated by reflections along vectors of square \(-1\) in the appropriate lattice. The compactification \((D/\Gamma)_{\Sigma}\) is compared with \(\overline{\mathbf M}\): there is a bijection between the strata of the natural stratifications on them.
