The paper proved the multiple cover formula for counting semistable twisted sheaves on cyclic gerbes over local \(K3\) surfaces. The original formula for local \(K3\) was found by Toda and proved by Maulik-Thomas. The paper focused on \(\mu_r\)-gerbes on a \(K3\) surface \(S\) which are classified by \(H^2(S,\mu_r)\). By the long exact sequence \[ \ldots \to H^1(S,\mathcal{O}^\times_S) \to H^2(S,\mu_r)\to H^2(S,\mathcal{O}^\times_S) \to \ldots \] \(\mu_r\)-gerbes have classes in \(H^2(S,\mathcal{O}^\times_S)_{\textrm{tor}}\). Let \(\mathcal{X}\) be a local \(K3\) gerbe supported on \(S\times \mathbb{C}\). The counting invariants were defined by Joyce, using the Hall algebra elements \([\mathcal{M}_{\omega,\mathcal{X}}(v) \hookrightarrow \widehat{\mathcal{M}}(\mathcal{X})]\), where \(\widehat{\mathcal{M}}(\mathcal{X})\) denotes the stack of twisted sheaves and \(\mathcal{M}_{\omega,\mathcal{X}}(v)\) denotes the moduli stack of semi-stable twisted sheaves in Mukai vector \(v \in \mathbb{Z} \oplus \mathrm{NS}(S) \oplus \mathbb{Q}\). The main Theorem 1.1 gives the multiple cover formula for the Joyce invariant \(J(v)\): \[J(v) = \sum_{k|v} \frac{1}{k^2} \chi(\mathrm{Hilb}^{\langle v/k,v/k\rangle +1}(S))\] where \(\mathrm{Hilb}^{p}(S)\) is the Hilbert scheme of \(p\) points and \(\langle v/k,v/k\rangle\) is the Mukai pairing.
