Functions on products of pseudocompact spaces (Q2072127)

It is shown that for every natural number \(n\), any continuous function \(\Phi\colon\prod_{i=1}^n X_i\to \mathbb{R}\) defined on the product of pseudocompact spaces \(X_1,\ldots, X_n\) can be extended to a separately continuous function \(\hat{\Phi}\colon \prod_{i=1}^n\beta X_i\to\mathbb{R}\) on the product of the Stone-Čech compactifications \(\beta X_1, \ldots, \beta X_n\). This solves a problem posed by \textit{E. A. Reznichenko} and \textit{V. V. Uspenskij} [Topology Appl. 86, No. 1, 83--104 (1998; Zbl 0938.54027)].
