Iteration formulae for brake orbit and index inequalities for real pseudoholomorphic curves (Q2073460)

This paper focuses on real pseudoholomorphic curves. The main results are three inequalities. The first inequality is the real counterpart of a fundamental lemma for embedded contact homology proved by Hutchings and Taubes for pseudoholomorphic curves. The second is a real embedded contact homology inequality and the last is an index inequality of real multiple cover. Iteration formulae for brake orbits in dimension 3 are given and then from these formulae the author obtains index inequalities for moduli spaces of real pseudoholomorphic curves. Possible application of these inequalities to the construction of real cylindrical contact homology are given.
