Summary: In this paper, a two-warehouse EOQ model for non-instantaneous deteriorating item with price and time dependent demand is developed under imprecise environment. To reduce the loss due to deterioration, the concept of preservation technology investment is incorporated. In order to make the model more general, shortages are allowed and are partially backlogged. Further, the impreciseness of the parameters like coefficients of demand rate, holding costs, deterioration costs, shortage cost and lost sale cost are assumed as interval numbers which are made crisp by parametric functional form representation of interval numbers. The objective of this model is to find an optimal ordering policy with a view to minimise total average cost. To illustrate the developed model, a numerical example is taken in its support and also sensitivity analysis is carried out with respect to some important parameters.
