This paper is a well-written, well-organized and well-detailed. It brings a valuable contribution to the study of the Novikov conjecture: the higher signatures are homotopy invariants. The authors prove product formulas in K-homology for the higher index and the higher rho invariant of the signature operators on fibered manifolds (of even and odd dimensions), see Theorem 5.4 and Theorem 5.5, using ideas of \textit{C. Wahl} [J. \(K\)-Theory 6, No. 2, 285--337 (2010; Zbl 1220.19005)] (here the use of a suitable higher Atiyah-Patodi-Singer index theorem is avoided). The above theorems have many merits, e.g. the study of bordism classes of metrics of positive scalar curvature on a fibered manifold (see, for instance, [\textit{C. Wahl}, Asian J. Math. 17, No. 2, 265--320 (2013; Zbl 1283.58017), Proposition 12.4]).
