Let \(\chi: \mathbb{N}\to \mathbb{T}=\lbrace z\in \mathbb{C}, |z|=1\rbrace \) be a multiplicative function. The Helson zeta function is defined by \[\zeta_\chi(s)=\sum_{n=1}^\infty \chi(n) n^{-s}=\prod_{p\: \text{ prime }} \frac{1}{1-\chi(p)p^{-s}}\] which is analytic and has no zeroes in the half-plane \(\mathrm{Re}(s)>1.\) Then, it is interesting to study the meromorphic continuation of \(\zeta_\chi\). One key result due to \textit{H. Helson} [Ark. Mat. 8, 139--143 (1970; Zbl 0199.46601)] shows that for almost all \(\chi\)'s, the function \(\zeta_\chi\) extends analytically to the half-plane \(\mathrm{Re}(s)>1/2.\) and has no zeroes in this half-plane. In the paper under review, the authors established the following theorem: \begin{itemize} \item[1.] For any disjoint multisets \(Z\) and \(P\) in the strip \(21/40 <\mathrm{Re}(s) < 1\) having no accumulation points off the line \(\mathrm{Re}(s) = 21/40\), there exists a completely multiplicative function \(\chi\) such that \(\zeta_\chi\) admits a meromorphic continuation to the half-plane \(21/40 < \mathrm{Re}(s)\) with \(Z\) is the set of its zeroes and \(P\) is the set of its poles. \item[2.] If the Riemann Hypothesis (RH) holds then for any disjoint multisets \(Z\) and \(P\) in the strip \(1/2 < \mathrm{Re}(s) < 1\) having no accumulation points off the line \(\mathrm{Re}(s) = 1/2\), there exists a completely multiplicative function \(\chi\) such that \(\zeta_\chi\) admits a meromorphic continuation to the half-plane \(\mathrm{Re}(s) > 1/2\) with \(Z\) is the set of its zeroes and \(P\) is the set of its poles. \end{itemize}
