The author considers transverse \(J\)-holomorphic curves in \(\mathbb C {\mathbb P}^3\) in the framework of twistor geometry, namely he considers the twistor fibration \(\mathbb C {\mathbb P}^3 \rightarrow S^4\) with the Eells-Salamon almost complex structure \(J_2\) defining a nearly Kähler structure on \(\mathbb C {\mathbb P}^3\). Precisely he describes a transverse \(J\)-holomorphic curve \(\phi :X\rightarrow {\mathbb C{\mathbb P}^3}\) by two functions \(\alpha_-\),\(\alpha_+ : X \rightarrow \mathbb R\). The first and the second fundamental forms can be espressed by means of these two functions and a Bonnet-type theorem is obtained. Moreover flat tori in \(S^4\) are classified and related to the theory of \(\operatorname{U}(1)\)-invariant minimal surfaces on \(S^4\).
