The authors give descriptions of wreath product analogues of partition categories. To every group \(G\) they associate a linear monoidal category \(\mathrm{Par}(G)\) which they call a group partition category and is presented by generators and relations. This category acts on tensor products of permutation representations of wreath products of \(G\). It is proved that the action is full and a description of the kernel is given. The authors also prove that \(\mathrm{Par}(G)\) embeds into the Heisenberg category for \(G\), and that this embedding intertwines the actions of both categories on modules for wreath products. The last result of the paper is the proof that the additive Karoubi envelope of \(\mathrm{Par}(G)\) is equivalent to a wreath product interpolating a category introduced by \textit{F. Knop} [Adv. Math. 214, No. 2, 571--617 (2007; Zbl 1127.18004)], thereby giving a simple concrete description of that category.
