The authors study the nondegeneracy of the trivial solution for the periodic problem associated with a Liénard equation of the type \[ x''(t) + f (x(t))x'(t) + a(t)x(t) = 0. \] Then they prove an existence and uniqueness result when a periodic forcing term is introduced.
