The \(J\)-ring of a Coxeter system \((W,S)\) is defined as the free abelian group \(J = \bigoplus_{w \in W} \mathbb{Z}\, t_{w}\) where products are given by the formula \(t_{x}t_{y}=\sum_{z \in W} \gamma_{x,y,z^{-1}}t_{z}\) and each coefficient \(\gamma_{x,y,z^{-1}}\) is a certain nonnegative integer obtained via the Kazhdan-Lusztig basis of the Hecke algebra of \((W,S)\). The formula endows \(J\) with the structure of an associative ring (if some assumptions are satisfied). In this paper the authors use quivers and their representations to bring new perspectives on the subregular \(J\)-ring \(J_{C}\) of a Coxeter system \((W, S)\), a subring of Lusztig's \(J\)-ring. They prove that \(J_{C}\) is isomorphic to a suitable quotient of the path algebra of the double quiver of \((W,S)\). Up to Morita equivalence, such quotients include the group algebras of all free products of finite cyclic groups. They use quiver representations to study the category mod-\(A_{K}\) of finite dimensional right modules of the algebra \(A_{K} = K \otimes_{\mathbb{Z}} J_{C}\) over an algebraically closed field \(K\) of characteristic zero. The results obtained in this article include classifications of Coxeter systems for which mod-\(A_{K}\) is semisimple, has finitely many simple modules up to isomorphism, or has a bound on the dimensions of simple modules.
