Hutchinson's theorem in semimetric spaces (Q2087434)

The authors generalize the classical results in metric spaces on the construction of the attractor of an iterated function system to the context of certain semimetric spaces. So they prove fixed point theorems for semimetric spaces and results on the completeness of the hyperspace of nonempty compact subsets of certain complete semimetric spaces and some other results for semimetric spaces that are needed for the construction of the attractor of an iterated function system.
