This paper focusses on examination of nonlinear flutter characteristics of laminated composite panels with curvilinear fiber paths in supersonic flow. The structural model uses the Mindlin thick theory along with the von-Kármán larger deformation relationship, and the first-order aerodynamic piston theory is applied for loading effects of the supersonic airflow. Futhermore, the thermal stress and the change of mechanical properties of the material caused by the temperature rise is taken into account. The nonlinear partial differential equations of motion are obtained using the virtual work principle and discretized by using the finite element method, where the complex mode method is employed in frequency domain, and the Newmark method is applied in time domain. The presented method is used for the investigation of the effects of curved fiber angle, temperature rise, and dynamic pressure on the frequency coalescence, thermal buckling, limit cycle oscillation, and stability boundary.
