As the extensions of \(\Lambda(p)\)-sets defined via the Lebesgue norms, the \(\Lambda(\Phi)\)-sets are introduced being defined by means of more general Orlicz norms. The newly introduced spaces are considered with the Matuszewska-Orlicz index of \(\Phi\) larger than 2. If \(S\) is a \(\Lambda(\Phi)\)-set, an estimate of the size of \(S \cap [-N, N]\), where \(N\) is a positive integer, is established. Further, a \(\Lambda(\Phi_1)\)-set which is not a \(\Lambda(\Phi_2)\)-set for any \(\Phi_2\) such that \(\sup_{u\ge1} \Phi_2(u)/\Phi_1(u) = \infty\) is constructed by means of a probabilistic method. These abd other related statements extend known results on the structure of \(\Lambda(p)\)-sets to the case of \(\Lambda(\Phi)\)-sets.
