    Summary: In this paper, we consider the following coupled system of non-linear ordinary differential equations. \[ \begin{aligned} x_1^{(n_1)} (t) = f_1 (t,x_1,x'_1, \dots x_1^{(N_1)}, x_2, x'_2, \dots, x_2^{(N_2)}), \\ x_2^{(n_2)} (t) = f_2 (t, x_1, x_1',\dots, x_1^{(N_1)}, x_2, x_2'\dots, x_2^{(N_2)}), \end{aligned} \eqno{(0.1)} \] where \(f_1\), \(f_2\) are real-valued continuous functions on \([t_0,\infty) \times R^{N_1+N_2}\), \(t\geq t_0\), \(n_i >1\) and \(N_i\) are integers with \(1\leq N_i \leq \min \{n_i -1,n_2 -1\}\) for \(i=1,2\). We give sufficient conditions on the non-linear functions \(f_1\), \(f_2\), such that the solutions pair \(x_1\), \(x_2\) asymptotically behave like a pair of real polynomials.
