The goal of this paper is to make the link between the generalized Keller-Segel system \begin{align*} \partial_t n -\frac{\delta}{2\sigma} \Delta n^2+\frac{\delta}{\sigma} \operatorname{div}\,(n\nabla w)&=n G\left(\frac{\delta}{\sigma}(n-w)\right),\\ -\sigma \Delta w+\frac{\sigma}{\delta} w^\gamma+w&=n, \end{align*} and the Degenerate Cahn-Hilliard model \begin{align*} \partial_t n-\operatorname{div}\,(n\nabla \mu)&=n G(u),\\ \mu&=n^\gamma-\delta\Delta n. \end{align*} Both systems are considered in \((0,\infty)\times\Omega\), where \(\Omega\subset\mathbb{R}^d\) is a bounded domain under no flux boundary conditions. It is observed that changing variables \(\mu=\frac{\delta}{\sigma}(n-w)\) the former system becomes \begin{align*} \partial_t n-\operatorname{div}\,(n\nabla \mu)&=n G(\mu),\\ -\sigma\Delta\mu+\mu&=\left(n-\frac{\sigma}{\delta}\mu\right)^\gamma-\delta\Delta n. \end{align*} The main result of the paper states that the weak solutions \((n_\sigma, \mu_\sigma)\) of the last system converge as \(\sigma \to 0\) to the weak solutions of the Degenerate Cahn-Hilliard model.
