Let \(0<\gamma_1<\gamma_2<\cdots\) be consecutive ordinates of the imaginary parts of non-real zeros of the Riemann zeta function. In the paper under review, the authors use Benford's law, Kemperman's theorem, and an explicit lower and upper bound concerning \(\gamma_n\), to study the portion of \(n\leq N\) for which first \(r\) digits (starting with a non-zero digit) of \(\gamma_n\) is equal to \(K\), where \(K=k_1k_2 \dots k_r\) is a positive integer expressed in the base \(b\).
