The Generalized Bolzano-Weierstrass Theorem is an important result for the researches of convergence, that is, every sequence of subsets of a separable metric space contains a convergent subsequence. For the converse of this theorem, Sierpinski proved that a metric space in which every sequence of sets has a convergent subsequence is separable under the continuum hypothesis. In this paper, the authors examined the role of the continuum hypothesis in Sierpinski's theorem and investigated the generalized Bolzano-Weierstrass property in the context of general topological spaces. It was proved that if \(X\) is a metrizable space with \(d(X)<\mathfrak{s}\), then every sequence of subsets of \(X\) has a convergent subsequence and if \(X\) is a metrizable space in which every sequence of subsets has a convergent subsequence, then with \(d(X)<\mathfrak{s}\). Moreover, the Sorgenfrey line and the Fedorčuk's space were investigated and it was showed that the Sorgenfrey line has the generalized Bolzano-Weierstrass property and the Fedorčuk's space does not have.
