The Clifford algebra \(C\ell_{p,q}\) is defined to be the (associative) algebra generated over \(\mathbb{R}\) by \(e_1,\dots,e_{p+q}\) subject to the relations: \(e_k e_\ell=-e_\ell e_k\) when \(k\neq \ell\) and \(e_k^2=1\) when \(k\leq p\) and \(e_k^2=-1\) when \(k\geq p+1\). These algebras are of great importance in modern physics, and were classified by Cartan in 1908 up to Morita equivalence (the class depends only on the remainder of the division of \(p-q\) by 8; see [\textit{P. Lounesto}, Clifford algebras and spinors. 2nd ed. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press (2001; Zbl 0973.15022)]). This paper gives a nice introduction to these algebras and their representations, with some explicit constructions and applications to physics
